<image:title>About - Alongside private practice, I have worked in community and healthcare settings and have supported organizations across Canada through training and consultation in trauma-informed and harm-reduction practices. These experiences have shaped my understanding that cultural awareness, social justice, and respect for lived experience are central to my work.</image:title>
<image:caption>Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the North Shore Mountains, playing hockey, and fly fishing. Having lived abroad in Australia, Japan, and Hong Kong, I’m also an avid foodie who loves sharing meals with friends and family.</image:caption>

<image:title>My Approach - Counselling with Clem</image:title>
<image:caption>My counselling approach integrates diverse psychotherapy modalities with social and cultural frameworks, creating an ethical, collaborative, and trauma-informed practice. I combine talk therapy with somatic techniques, fostering self-awareness, resilience, and personal transformation. I draw on Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Attachment Theory to help clients reclaim inner resources and navigate life’s challenges. Somatic/Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP): A holistic mind-body approach that strengthens the connection between thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations—especially effective for trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief. Internal Family Systems (IFS): Supports clients in exploring and harmonizing different parts of themselves, cultivating self-compassion and emotional balance. Attachment Theory: Examines relational patterns, helping clients develop healthier connections with themselves and others. For those who prefer a structured, dialogue-based approach, I also incorporate Narrative Therapy (NT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Existential Therapy, which help clients reframe unhelpful thought patterns, understand personal narratives, and find meaning in their experiences.</image:caption>

<image:title>My Approach - Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>What is Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy? Psychedelic-assisted therapy is an emerging therapeutic approach that can support healing, insight, and meaningful change for some individuals. In recent years, there has been a renewed wave of clinical research and trials exploring their potential role in treating a range of mental health concerns. Often described as “new,” these practices are rooted in longstanding plant-medicine traditions and ceremonial use across many cultures. What remains essential—both historically and clinically—is careful preparation and thoughtful integration. Preparation, Integration, & Consultation Psychedelic experiences, whether through clinical treatment or personal exploration, can be profound and transformative. However, proper preparation and integration are essential for making meaning of these experiences and applying insights to daily life. I offer: Preparation Sessions: Setting intentions, exploring expectations, and developing grounding techniques before a psychedelic journey. Integration Therapy: Supporting clients in processing, understanding, and incorporating insights from psychedelic experiences into their healing journey. Consultation: Guidance on harm reduction, ethical considerations, and best practices in psychedelic-assisted therapy. My work in this area is trauma-informed, client-centred, and collaborative. While I do not provide or facilitate psychedelic substances, I offer a supportive therapeutic space to explore these experiences ethically and responsibly. Additionally, I work with Gathering Groups and serve as a facilitator for their psilocybin-assisted group therapy. For more information about their group-based psychedelic-assisted therapy offerings, please visit https://gatheringgroups.ca.</image:caption>
