Clement Man-yee Fong MA. RCC

About Me

My name is Clem. I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor and have been working with adults since 2010, supporting people as they navigate life stress, relationship challenges, trauma, and the pressures of living and working in high-expectation environments. Many of the people I work with appear capable on the outside, while feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or depleted internally.

My approach is grounded in attachment-based, trauma-informed, and somatic therapies, integrating mind–body awareness with thoughtful, practical reflection. I draw from Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Attachment Theory, Narrative and Existential therapy. I am grounded in a holistic, compassionate perspective and my belief in people’s capacity for meaningful and lasting change.

I have a particular interest in family dynamics, intergenerational patterns, and the often unspoken roles, expectations, and loyalties that shape our relationships and sense of self. While many of my clients identify as Asian men, my practice is welcoming to people of all genders and backgrounds, including those who are new to therapy. I understand how vulnerable it can feel to begin, and I aim to offer a space that is calming, collaborative, and respectful.

Alongside private practice, I have worked in community and healthcare settings and have supported organizations across Canada through training and consultation in trauma-informed and harm-reduction practices. These experiences have shaped my understanding that cultural awareness, social justice, and respect for lived experience are central to my work.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the North Shore Mountains, playing hockey, and fly fishing. Having lived abroad in Australia, Japan, and Hong Kong, I’m also an avid foodie who loves sharing meals with friends and family.

If you’re curious about whether working together might be a good fit, I’d be glad to connect. If you are looking for a counsellor who can help you navigate life's challenges while incorporating mindfulness and social justice, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to meeting you and discussing the possibility of working together.
